Back in September, we reviewed FIFA 14 for PlayStation 3 and as expected, it was a gem. The team at EA Burnaby has done an admirable job over the last five years in designing and developing a futbol franchise worthy of praise, but more importantly, worthy of being considered better than its main competitor. EA Sports has improved upon a lot of gameplay elements from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4. Passes feel crisper, shots have more control and types, players jostle for the ball more effectively, and the A.I. is a lot more effective than ever before. Unfortunately, the game does fall flat on one of the biggest issues that plagued the PlayStation 3 release, which is the A.I.’s effectiveness depending on the difficulty level. While it is much improved, you still end up with your teammates that you don’t control doing less on their own when the difficulty is raised. This is frustrating because if you master one difficulty level, moving up presents such a learning curve that it almost detracts away from the game experience a little. This isn’t to say that it’s a game killer, because it isn’t, but it would be great if EA could figure out buy fifa 14 ultimate team coins a way to keep the A.I. teammates smart no matter which level of difficulty you’re playing on.
